The Practitioner’s Path: Advanced Studies in BMC®

An Online Workshop for all SME and Practitioner graduates

4 days – 16 hours of class

December 5 – 8, 2020

With an act of trust and in response to the challenges that our BMC community is dealing with during this time of pandemic, Leben is happy to present this online workshop, while waiting for all to meet in person at CasaNave alle Mura’s in the near future!

We know how several of you, SME colleagues, have the desire to progress in your BMC training, continuing to deepen the embodiment process and learning to apply it in their different professional fields. Some of you have been waiting to start a new track of studies, but were stopped by the pandemic crisis. More than once, here at Leben’s we had to postpone the beginning of a new BMC® Practitioner Program. The Immune System course that was planned at CasaNave in Tuscania, in these same dates of December, cannot take place because of the currents restrictions for meeting and traveling in most parts of Italy and other countries. With this second wave of contagion, we are witnessing how many people are experiencing fear, sense of fragmentation, impotence…

Yet, through the BMC approach, we have lots of resources on which to rely, drawing from awareness, resilience, creativity, and a strong sense of community. This proposal stems from those resources, and it is based on three important conditions:

  • The online activity cannot be a “substitute” of the work in person, it must be something built on a different plane which requires a very different perceptual and teaching/learning approach.
  • In the given circumstances, meeting online can become a strong form of support for our community whose strength relies a lot on sharing the learning and research processes.
  • The economic crisis requires that we make sustainable and moderate investments now that can lead to more efficient and successful results, on mid and long terms, when we will be able to regain activity and social mobility.

Participants

All SME graduates are invited to participate in this workshop, both those who intend to eventually do the BMC® Practitioner Program and those who wish to just have an experience of a more advanced level of studies. Certified Practitioners and newly certified Teachers who wish to plug into the work again by reconnecting with the community are also welcome.

Structure and contents of the workshop

It consists of 4 days, 4 hours per day with half hour break between the first and the second class. It takes place on Zoom platform. The schedule 2:00pm – 6:30pm (Rome time) would allow colleagues from other time zones on the Western and Eastern sides of Europe to participate. There will be a consecutive translation Italian-English/ English -Italian. Teachers Anne Expert and Carla Bottiglieri will join Gloria Desideri and Thomas Greil who are curating this initiative.

The classes deal with topics specific to the Practitioner program: embryological development, integration of systems and development, senses and perception, breathing and vocalization. They aim to offer an experience of how the exploration of the BMC material involves increasingly stratified and interconnected aspects.  Except for the first class of the first day, an introduction, and the last hour of the last day, for community sharing, each of the other classes includes a lecture part and an experiential part. We strongly recommend that for some of the classes, as indicated in the workshop description below, you would invite a guest (colleague, relative, friend or co-habiting person) to be present in your room for some of the partnering practice. Also, if two peer participants live in the same area and can easily move, they can meet in the same location, yet each with her/his own devise for connecting to Zoom.

Workshop Fee

The workshop “The Practitioner’s Path: Advanced Studies in BMC®” has a fee of €200,00 vat tax included. To register you have to write to staff_leben@lebensnetz.it and you will receive instructions for registration.

PLEASE NOTE: Depending on the number of participants in the workshop, Leben nuova will provide scholarships for those who are currently in financial difficulty. Please write us an email to explain your situation and we hope that it will be possible to include all those who are interested in participating.

DECEMBER 5

14:00 – 16:00
Introduction to the Practitioner Track of Studies
Community gathering; motivations for moving on with the BMC® training and into the PP; potentials for personal and professional growth; approaches to a new level of study and research; the effects of the pandemic crisis on our community and ways to develop resources through collective learning.

16:30 – 18:30
The Embodiment of Space

Early embryological development gives a perspective of how life emerges from cellular and fluid level of consciousness – a base for healing and transformation.

DECEMBER 6

14:00 – 16:00
Moving from Within

BMC offers a unique way to relate the body systems with developmental movements, to explore the body systems from a developmental perspective and to deepen touch and repatterning.

Partnering: For this session, you need somebody in presence (a colleague, relative, friend or co-habitant) to practice touch with.

16:30 – 18:30
BNP and Brain Levels

How do developmental patterns relate to levels of integration in the body, from cellular to walking? The central nervous system and the brain play a key role to integrate the organization of movement of the spine, the limbs and the body in space.

DECEMBER 7

14:00 – 16:00
The Embryological Development of
the Senses
Our senses begin as potentials, creating a link between the different germ layers and connect the outside world to the central nervous system.

16:30 – 18:30
Psychophysical Aspects of the Perceptual Response Cycle

Understanding the process of awareness, repatterning and choice making. Partnering: For this session, you need somebody in presence (a colleague, relative, friend or co-habitant) to practice touch with.

DECEMBER 8

14:00 – 17:00
The Embodied Voice

Our voice is one of the most personal and particular ways to express who we are. Through our voice, through vibration and resonance, we connect to ourselves and to others, we connect to movement inside of us and in space.
