The IDME Program aims to learning a non-invasive, playful and heartfelt approach to interacting with infants, their families and caregivers. The developmental movement material, according to the Body-Mind Centering® approach, is then specifically applied in observing and facilitating babies who develop normally, and in interacting with families and caregivers with an educational intent.
The first level of the Application courses, IDME 1 in our program is divided into two modules:
IDME 1A June 23 – 27, 2027

The IDME 1A and IDME 1B modules focus on applying the material previously learned in the 4 developmental core courses (Senses and Perception-1, Ontogenetic Development, Primitive Reflexes, Righting Reactions, Equilibrium Responses, Basic Neurocellular Patterns), through the embodiment process, in the ability to observe the normal developmental progression, and how patterns are organized in infants also at the perceptual and relational levels.
The main objectives are:
- being able to observe and assess child development throughout the first 12 months of age;
- applying one’s embodiment of developmental movement for a deeper understanding of how patterns are organized in babies;
- integrating one’s learning process also through the direct observation of demonstration sessions with babies and parents invited as guests during classes;
- practicing safe and appropriate ways of touching and handling babies;
- being able to use educational toys and props;
- developing one’s professional practice in the field of child development;
- being aware of indications, counter-indications, potentials and limits of practice, contacts and referral to other professionals.
