Tactile\u00a0perception and sense of movement are located in every\u00a0cell of the body. Sight, hearing, taste and smell are\u00a0localized in the head. It is through the senses that we\u00a0receive information from our inner (ourselves) and outer\u00a0(others and the world) environments.<\/p>\n<p>The way we filter, modify, distort, accept, reject and use\u00a0this information is part of the act of perception. Perception\u00a0is a global experience. It is the psychophysical process\u00a0of interpreting information based on past experiences,\u00a0present circumstances and future expectations.<\/p>\n<p>When we choose to absorb information, it means that we\u00a0create a link with that aspect of our environment. When\u00a0we block it, keep it out, it means that we are defending\u00a0ourselves from that same aspect.
